At least two famous shows on the air are drawing big-time attention here.

“Rizzoli & Isles” brought the attention of television producers at Fox after its first season broadcast Monday night, on the heels of its recent episode “The Real Housewives of Miami.”

The TV reality show focuses on the gossipy world of drag — featuring celebrity, public figures, drag queens and others who perform on shows across the world.

“It’s a bit of a throwback to the era of reality TV,” says TV producer David Ochoa. “The fact that they’re going to air it this year and bring it to Bangor is a huge deal for the drag community here in the Southeast.”

O’Brien, who has made many appearances on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” is one of the show’s stars, making her debut Tuesday night as “Lady J.”

“The beauty of it is, people are drawn to that cast right now, to see something so different every week,” she says. “And when a television show i카지노 사이트s on, we want to get it on air, and we know it’s something that’s going to be very popular.”

With more than 100 other drag shows in existence, “Rizzoli & Isles” doesn’t have the appeal of “Drag Race,” which averages about 80,000 viewers a week on cable networks. And there are other shows on the air. One features drag queen Babs Williams, another featured Jennifer Hudson’s drag partner Ginger Minj.

“Rizzoli & Isles” is in its seventh season, with a total of nine episodes. The series also has guest stars, including Lizz Winstead.

“It’s great to have more drag artists, so I think it’s a nice little addition to the Drag Race universe,” says TV producer David Ochoa, who worked as a producer on “Regospelhitzal Housewives of New York” and now is producing “Rizzoli & Isles.” “If the ratings are great, that’s good for drag entertainment.”
